Hi, this blog is written for those looking to improve their CV or resume.

Writing a CV/resume is not an easy task and does take plenty of time and planning if you are to do it properly. Today, most jobs have over 50 applicants to each post, so to make sure your CV/resume is considered it needs to stand out from the crowd.

In the not to distant past I worked for a major recruitment company for over 5 years and must have looked through literally thousands of CV’s/resumes. To be honest, only a handful made the mark and were put forward to employers. A high percentage of CVs had spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and poor focus. It was a shame as most of the these candidates, I’m sure, would have been excellent employees.

Today a CV/resume needs to be 100% to get through to the next stage – the interview.  In all honesty, the simpler, more clear and focused  a CV/resume is, the greater the chance it will be considered. There is no magic formula for a winning CV/resume, but make sure you plan and  understand the vacancy you are applying for.
